Karen Gagnier

Karen's passion for wellness advocacy began 20 years ago with a breast cancer diagnosis. She learned first hand that yoga facilitates healing, so she went on to become a yoga instructor for cancer survivors. This path into wellness inspired training and education into other populations including those experiencing behavioral health challenges. Today, Karen cares deeply about health and wellness for ALL, and has found her niche in wellness education and facilitation through non-profit organizations. Her focus has been on community outreach, fundraising, and program development. She has developed wellness programs and workshops for: Fox Chase Cancer Center, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, TheVillage, Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, and Villanova University. Given her early professional experience in Marketing, she understands the importance of fundraising, and is quick to jump in to offer marketing help. Karen has assisted in running fundraising events for Living Beyond Breast Cancer, TheVillage, Family Promise of the Main Line, Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Hunger Program, and her beloved Fairwinds—Nantucket’s Behavioral Health Center.
